Dr Angela McNaught - Director
Dr Angela McNaught is a Clinical Psychologist and a Director of Best Practice.
Angela holds a PhD in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Massey University. She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Registration Board, holds the HPCA Act Clinical Scope of Practice, a current annual practicing certificate, and is also a Full Member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists.
As well as her commitments to Best Practice, Angela teaches psychiatry registrars Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and delivers a range of workshops locally and internationally on CBT, using technology in clinical practice, and building resilience. Prior to working full-time in private practice, she spent 8 years as a Senior Lecturer at Massey University where she taught in the Post-Graduate Diploma of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and several years at Counties Manukau District Health Board, specialising in adult mental health and working with combined medical and psychological problems. Angela's doctoral thesis investigated the understandings of dying well for terminally ill patients.
